
Welcome to Ocklawaha.org the unofficial website for Ocklawaha in Marion county Central Florida and home to much of the Ocala National Forest which is the largest national forest in the South Eastern United States. The Ocklwaha River is one of the longest and most important rivers and is the principal tributary of the St. Johns River. The Gores Landing unit of Ocklawaha River Wildlife Management Area consists of almost 3,000 acres (12 km²) along the Ocklawaha River in eastern Marion County. The Ocklawaha River basin is a primary tributary of the St. Johns River Water Management District.
